Clean and Rescue your VHS tapes
If you see mould or dirt on your VHS tapes, there's no time to waste. You need to get them transferred before your precious memories are lost from the surface of the tape.
Depending on how they've been stored, VHS tapes can tend to grow mould which looks like a white powder spotted over your tape. This mould can effect both the audio and the video quality as it causes the magnetic surface of the tape to deteriorate.
Shown below is a VHS tape that's been half cleaned to show the result of the cleaning process. We are one of the few companies in Australia to offer a top-of-the-line TapeChek 490 machine to clean your VHS tapes to ensure you get the best picture quality possible.
This service is only available when we convert or edit your tapes and is an additional $10 per tape. A small price to pay to ensure the best quality conversion.
We can also (manually) clean VHS-C tapes. The price for this service is $20 per tape.
